THE FRANCOMBS STORY
If you’ve been in the Medway area for a while, you probably know the Francombs name. It all started with a simple idea: make good food, keep it fresh, and treat everyone—both staff and customers—like family. Whether you’ve grabbed a sandwich from our shops or enjoyed a proper meal at the Grill, you know we never compromise on quality.
FRANCOMBS DINER IS OUR LATEST ADVENTURE, AND IT'S SOMETHING SPECIAL
We wanted to create a space that reflects the way we live today—somewhere comfortable, welcoming, and affordable, without ever sacrificing the quality of our food. We’ve put a lot of heart into this place. You’ll notice our chairs have a bit of history (yes, some are up-cycled from Burger King!), our tables were carefully chosen at auctions, and our equipment has been refurbished. This is our way of keeping things cost-effective and sustainable, proving that you don’t need a massive budget to create a brilliant, cosy spot to eat.
We’re here for everyone. Whether you’re a tradesman needing a hearty breakfast to fuel your day, office staff looking for a fresh lunch, or a family seeking a relaxed spot for a treat, you’re always welcome at our table.
We’ve brought all your Francombs favourites with us—from our signature sandwiches to those legendary desserts—and added
even more, including hot meals, summer salads, and a dedicated menu for kids. And since we know life doesn't stop at lunch, we’ve ensured the diner is fully air-conditioned and ready for you.
We’re more than just a place to eat; we’re part of the Medway City Estate community. Soon, we’ll even be opening meeting rooms, so you can bring your team or clients in for a presentation over a wonderful meal or buffet selection.
At the end of the day, we’re just a group of people who love to feed others. Thank you for being part of our story—we can’t wait to see you at the diner!
